Docket

Registry records, billed per record.

United States, Finland and Russia: official registries and open data behind one key. Each lookup queries the source when you ask, and you only pay for the records that come back.

From $0.005 a record. Prepaid credits from $50, no subscription.

6 lookups, one key

Each API is a single endpoint with a flat price per record returned.

You pay for what comes back

  1. Reserve. We hold the price of the most records your limit allows, so parallel requests cannot overspend.
  2. Look up. The source is queried when you ask.
  3. Settle. Anything it does not return goes back to your balance. No matches costs nothing.

Prepaid credits from $50. The ledger shows every charge and refund.

US state entities, limit 5

worked example

Balance before$50.00
Reserve 5 × $0.01limit: 5−$0.05
The registry returns2 records
Refund 3 unused3 × $0.01+$0.03
You were charged2 × $0.01$0.02
Balance after$49.98

The same envelope every time

Whichever API you call, the response has the same five fields, so one parser covers all of them.

Questions

Where does the data come from?

Each API reads an official public source: SEC EDGAR, state open-data portals, Finland's PRH register, the Russian Federal Tax Service and the GLEIF global index, depending on the API. We do not keep copies, but state open-data portals refresh daily to weekly, so a brand-new filing can lag. Docket is not affiliated with any agency; confirm records you rely on with the source.

What if nothing matches?

You get a 200 with an empty results list and you are not charged. The reservation for that request goes straight back to your balance.

Why am I charged before the lookup runs?

So two requests sent at the same moment can never spend the same dollars. We hold the price of the most records your limit allows, then refund whatever the registry does not return.

How long does a lookup take?

Several seconds, sometimes longer. The sources are queried when you ask and some are slow (the Finnish register can take several seconds), so set a generous timeout and treat each call as a lookup, not a page load.

What happens if a registry is down?

You get a 502 and the whole reservation is refunded. Both the charge and the refund show on your ledger.

How do I pay?

Prepaid credits through Polar, from $50. There is no subscription. Receipts and invoices are in the billing portal.
